Visiting Papa & Grandma in Texas

In March, after several canceled trips (Covid, car problems, a winter storm in Texas) we finally made it to Texas, to spend time with family! Unfortunately, our trips south are never long enough and we didn't get to see our family in West Texas or Oklahoma, but we count our blessings and are grateful for the time we had... Driving home I continued to thank God for the gift of our extended family. I have no clue how He chose to bless me with the BEST mother & father-in-law, but I thank the Lord for them daily. From constant words of encouragement over our marriage to faithful prayers that have moved mountains, I'm so honored to be part of the Prescott family.

The boys spent a lot of time shooting targets in the backyard, going through daddy's old Scouts and football awards, and listening to Papa's stories. Us girls loved learning more about Grandma's days as a military child living in China, Japan, and Washington D.C. Her love for our country is something most could never understand and hearing her memory of returning to America on a ship, returning under the Golden Gate Bridge was beautiful. This trip reminded me that sitting around, talking, laughing, worshipping, listening, loving, and hearing stories is my favorite family activity. Simply being together.

We also finally met our newest little niece, who is an absolute doll, and spent time with amazing cousins we hadn't even met before. Oh and Bernard, Papa & Grandma's dog is everyone's best furry friend. Such a treasured time and we are thankful for every moment!
