2018 Summer Travels - Part 3 - Rome, Italy

All roads lead to Rome... It was hot, humid, and the crowds were large, but the unbelievable history in Rome is truly a gift. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to show the kids this treasure, especially since we are studying the time period "Rome through Reformation," this year in our homeschool. A few highlights were the Colosseum and Nero's Golden Palace where we dawned hard hats and walked through ancient ruins underground. History came to life when we put on 4-D goggles and were able to see Nero's palace as it looked over a thousand years ago. We also found the absolute best restaurant where the waitress seated us at "our table in Rome" each night and Levi became a fan of anchovy pizza.
