Create & Persevere “2025”
Typically, I choose one word that rests on my heart to focus on for the year. As 2025 began, I landed on two words. “Create” & “Persevere” After our 15th move, it was time to create new; settle (create) in a new home, discover (create) new community, and joyfully jump into (create) new adventures. So many changes, so much to celebrate, and often painful, refining growth. Yet, I deeply needed to persevere in “old ways”, too. Rooted in God’s Word, focused on rhythms that have been staples of mine for decades, and daily deciding not to give up (persevere with strong determination and steadfast prayers) when I was weary from all of the above newness. I continued to learn this year, that loving, obeying, and following Jesus (the best decision I made over 4 decades ago) means that I follow where and how He leads.
